For the last two years each federation has
contributed to the insurance premium of the Confederation. Each
federation pays the same amount, irrespective of its membership
numbers, or the number of entries into the various eliminators.
This years contribution is £170.00.
For the past two years I have paid the
contribution from reserves without making a charge to the entrants
in the eliminators. I have paid this years contribution but this
now leaves SWFFF with a bank balance of less than £100. I
therefore have no option but to add a charge to the eliminator entry
fee. Assuming an entry of £25 in the eliminator the charge will be
£7.00 in addition to the entry fee of £15.00.

In making this charge the SWFFF is following the
lead of the majority of federations in applying an administration
charge.
I have now been organising the South West
Eliminators for thirty years and, as I no longer fish competitions
seriously, I feel it is time to step down and hand over to someone
who is as keen as I used to be to fish competitions, and who might
have new ideas to increase the numbers in the South West
eliminator. If there are any volunteers or if you wish to nominate
someone, please ring me on either of the above numbers.
I have enjoyed the last thirty years, and made
many great friends.
